What is the Whole Food Plant Based Lifestyle (WFPB)?

The WFPB diet consist of minimally processed foods which may include whole grains, fruits, vegetables, legumes (beans, peas, and lentils), nuts and seeds.

It basically involves eating foods the way God made them.  It eliminates processed foods, meats, dairy, cheese and any animal products.

What Are Processed Foods?

Processed foods refer to any food that’s changed from its natural state. This includes things that are pasteurized, canned, frozen, dried, dehydrated, mixed or packaged. Many of these foods also have added preservatives, nutrients, flavors, salts, sugars or fats. (WEB MD) Examples of these foods are, Impossible burgers, potato chips, different snack items.

Vegan vs WFPB

While Vegans refrain from eating animal products, many do eat processed foods. Oreo Cookies are vegan and yet not the healthiest choice. People who eat WFPB, tend to ead foods in their natural state. They generally shop on the perimeter of the grocery store. The inner isles tend to have more processed foods.
